1. Research & Strategy
As the saying goes, “fail to prepare; prepare to fail”. The other one we like, is “content is key”, but we’ll come back to that.
If you’re spending money on design and development, you need to be sure you’re making the right decisions. To that end, we’ve developed a series of exercises that paint a wide picture of your business, your industry, your competitors, and your position within it all. With information about your goals and target audiences, we can talk about creative best-practice; about information architecture, and how you can structure your communication in a way that maximises your effectiveness.
2. Branding
Most people know what a logo is; we frequently get asked if we “do logos?”. And the answer of course, is “yes, we do do logos, but do you know why you need a logo?”
A logo is a graphic mark that enables your clients to pick you out in a crowd. It communicates something of who you are, what you do, and who you do it for - that’s why businesses have them. But a logo is only the tip of the iceberg; it’s a tool, and it’s one of many. A brand strategy represents a tailored Batman-style utility belt of tools that guide the way you present yourself and your business. It includes logos, but outlines things like colours, type-faces, tones-of-voice for copy-writing... it helps you communicate your message clearly and effectively; and in the long run it can save you money too!
3. Design
This is where the rubber hits the road. Having undertaken a research phase, after investing in a set of brand guidelines, we bring all that information to bear.
Design is the most visible thing we do. Whether it’s for print or for a website or anything in between, it’s the bit that your clients interact with, it’s the thing that people remember - or indeed forget immediately, if it’s not done well. We’ve developed a three stage design process that begins with us showing you a number of creative options, and ends with you getting exactly what you want, and indeed; need. Whether your brand calls for deep, rich textures; or if your tastes run a rather more minimalist course, we have what it takes to deliver the aesthetic your business requires.
4. Development
For years, web development has felt much like a dark-art to many casual on-lookers. One of the things that sets us apart however, is our passion for - and understanding of - good code. We may present ourselves as shiny designer-types, but underneath at all we’re unapologetic, pocket-protector-wearing geeks! We also pride ourselves on our ability to demystify this dark art for our clients.

5. Production
Let’s talk assets. We can give you a brand, we can design you brochure-ware, we can build you a website that’ll more-or-less run its self. But here’s where that other saying comes in; “content is key”.
Without stuff for people to consume, without information for people to absorb, all the design budget in the world will be for nothing. Over the years we’ve built a network of content suppliers; illustrators, copy-writers, film makers, photographers (our Creative Director like to get hands-on with this one) and 3D artists who we can call upon to help you develop the kind of content that will help you bring your business’s communications to life. 6. Project Management
With so many balls, apples, oranges, small furry animals, chainsaws and flaming batons to choose from, we know how helpful it can be to have someone to hand who’s job it is to juggle it all for you.
We make it all happen. We manage the resources, secure the suppliers, develop your communication strategy and content, whilst all the time keeping an eye on the agreed timescales and budgets. We give you a single point of contact to call, and reply with a holistic, consolidated response that prioritises the decisions you need to make. Allowing you to get on with running your business.
